forces of nature

God reveals himself with power of nature :: Neither God is nature nor nature is God :: God Manifests himself as Universe:: Neither Nature Worship is sin ::

!! Please Read and Share !!

This is common belief Muslims have. When we talk abo
ut the forces of nature, we must first understand whose forces is material nature? Of course, it is God’s force. How can worshiping God’s glory is a sin? Muslims tries to prove their belief by quoting few verses in Vedas where it is mentioned that worshiper of nature goes to hell. However, they just ignore hundreds of other verses in Veda itself where it is suggested to look God in nature as well as worship nature.

Read the verse from YajurVeda —-

“TUD AIV AGNY TUD ADITYA TUD VAYU TUDOO CHANDRAMA, TUD AIV SHUKREM TUD BRAHMA TA AAPAH SA PRAJAPATY”

and immediate next to this verse is–

NA TASYA PRATIMA ASTY”
It means—-

“That(God) only is Fire, That is Sun, That is Air, That is Moon, That (God) only is Pure & Attractive, That is God, That is Water, That is Lord of all living beings”.

and

” His Similitude( Likeness) does not exist”.

Infact Purusha sukta (hymn 10.90 of the Rigveda, which describes the God as a “Cosmic Being”) say that creation is like a sacrifice done by demigods with the help of God and the material nature, heaven, humans, animals, etc have been emerged from God. The Moon was born from His mind, the Sun from His eyes, the heavens from His skull. Verse 2 however do state that the God is greater than the sum of His creation. The manifested world is only a fraction of God’s energy (glory). Here is that verse:

Ethaa vaanasya mahimaa.Atho jyaaya scha purusha.
Padhosya viswa bhoothanee.Tripaadasyamrutham divi., 1-3

This Purusha is much greater,
Than all his greatness in what all we see,
And all that we see in this universe is but his quarter,
And the rest three quarters which is beyond destruction,
Is safely in the worlds beyond.

Brh. Up. i.4.8 says “asmat sarvasmat antaratah” – God is the innermost of all. God is the Inner Ruler or antaryami who pervaded every entity in this world, nothing can ever exist without Him and hence He cannot be discarded at all ever.

At several places in the Qur’an interaction between Allah and His creation has been described as Allah’s glory. The Qur’an says: when Lord revealed (His) glory to the mountain He sent it crashing down. (Surah al-A’raf, 7:143).

As that God has manifested Himself in the form of universe , it is therefore obvious that in the universe , there exists no one apart from God and exactly like God. So, there could exist no Similitude( likeness or comparison) of God in the universe.

All living beings and non living things are actually manifestation of ONE God only. Most Islam can not understand this philosophy I think. They treat all living beings and things apart from one God. Even modern science says that all universe is a form of energy evolved from one basic form of energy and came into existence with succesive transformation of energy.

Infact fire worship (Yagna) is more popular in Vedas than Puranas. So here natural forces are used as an interface to communicate with God which is ofcourse His glory. The correct understanding is that nature is both God’s energy and it belongs to Him is important.

The theological tenet of achintya-bheda-abheda tattva reconciles the mystery that God is simultaneously “one with and different from His creation”. Creation is never separated from God. He always exercises supreme control over His creation. Sometimes directly, but most of the time indirectly through His different potencies or energies (Prakrti).

“One who knows God knows that the impersonal conception and personal conception are simultaneously present in everything and that there is no contradiction. Therefore Lord Caitanya established His sublime doctrine: acintya bheda-and-abheda-tattva — simultaneous oneness and difference.” (A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada). The analogy often used as an explanation in this context in the relationship between the Sun and the Sunshine. For example both the sun and sunshine are part of the same reality, but there is a great difference between having a beam of sunshine in your room, and being in close proximity to the sun itself. Qualitatively the Sun and the Sunshine are not different, but as quantities they are very different. This analogy is normally applied to the living beings and God – the Jiva being of a similar quality to the Supreme being, but not sharing the qualities to an infinite extent, as would the Personality of Godhead himself. Thus there is a no similarity between the souls and the Supreme Lord but they have something in common. You can also extent this idea to nature and God. Science tells that form and energy is interchangeable. Of course, God is different from His energy but still you cannot think it is not divine.

God has many varieties of energy according to Bhagavad-Gita. Those energies can be consolidated into three divisions: spiritual energy (from which living beings (spirit souls) came) and material energy (from which material nature or universe came).

"" La Illah Illallah "":: There is no god but Allah.

"" Yekho Vishwasya bhuvanasya rajah "" Rig-Veda 6.36.4 :: The Lord of the entire universe is one and one only
