Do You Want Peace Now?
“If you want everything, then don’t want. But not with the idea of, ‘If I say I don’t want, I will get it.’ That won’t work. Truly and sincerely you should say, ‘I am not interested in anything. When things come, fine; when they go, wonderful.’ The minute you renounce your wants, you are eternally in a peaceful condition. So let us find that peace. Do you want that peace now? Even wanting peace is dangerous. Sometimes people are restless: ‘I’m restless. I want to be peaceful.’ By wanting to be restful, you lose your peace. Even that craving should be discarded—have no want at all. It sounds crazy, you know. How can you live without want? Well, try it some time. You will know. When you stop wanting, everything will want you.
